The Happy Prince and The Swallow

The Happy Prince is a beautiful statue covered in jewels, but he's sad because he sees the suffering of the people below. A Swallow, who is supposed to fly south for the winter, decides to stay and help the Prince. The Prince asks the Swallow to pluck out his jewels and give them to the poor. The Swallow does this, despite the cold and his own needs. When the Prince is completely bare, he asks the Swallow to take his lead heart to a poor sick woman. The Swallow does so, and then dies of exhaustion. The Prince's heart and the Swallow are sent to heaven as rewards for their kindness.Conversation:Prince: I see the suffering of my people.
