Let's imagine a right triangle with sides a, b, and the hypotenuse c. Now, picture squares drawn on these sides: one square on side a, another on side b, and a larger square on side c.The area of the square on side a is a², and the area of the square on side b is b². Now, if we take these two smaller squares and show that they can perfectly fit into the larger square on side c, it proves that the sum of a² and b² is equal to c².
