The Description of the Ideal Cafeteria System
Wayne Opanja
The process of ordering for a cafeteria via the system begins with the supervisor. The supervisor inputs the type of food they want to prepare into the system. Once the food type is entered, the system generates a detailed recipe, including the necessary ingredients and their required quantities. The system then initiates a search for these ingredients, starting with the Trolley. The Trolley contains previously ordered items that were not fully used. If any of the required ingredients are found in the Trolley, the system deducts the needed amount from there first.Next, the system moves to the Chef Corner. This module houses short-term items such as yogurt, spices, and vegetables. The system checks the Chef Corner for any remaining ingredients needed after the Trolley search. It picks out the required items from this section, ensuring that the quantities match the recipe specifications. If any ingredients are still missing, the system proceeds to the Store. The Store contains long-term storage items like rice and other bulk ingredients. The system retrieves the remaining necessary ingredients from the Store to complete the order. In cases where the Store does not have the required ingredients, the system places an order for purchasing these items. This ensures that all necessary components are available for the preparation of the desired food. The process is designed to optimize the use of existing resources and streamline the ordering process efficiently.
