A knight fork is a tactic in which a piece attacks multiple enemy pieces simultaneously. As seen on the chess board, the white knight attacks multiple pieces the black queen and the black rook.  White move's Knight to d4 square, yes! it's a knight fork. If your opponent saves the queen by moving it to a safe square e4, then white knight capture's the black rook. Or opponent saves the rook by moving it to a safe square d6, then white knight capture's the black queen.
