Once upon a time there was a Princess. Many suitors came to the palace to win her hand in marriage, but it seemed to the Princess that each one of them looked at her without really seeing her at all.“They act as if there is nothing more to a princess than her fine crown and royal dresses,” she thought to herself with a frown.One afternoon after a visit like this, the Princess shook her head. This is too much! Sometimes I wish I was a little girl again, before all these suitors.” She remembered a favorite ball from childhood, one that sparkled when she threw it high in the air. I wonder what happened to that ball? she thought. A quick search later and she found her ball! Full of joy, she ran outside to the palace yard with it, where she threw her ball higher and higher.One time she threw it extra high and when she ran to catch the ball, she tripped on a tree stump. When the ball fell from the sky, it plopped right down into the royal well!
