Bhutan has one credit rating agency named as Credit information bureau office which is located in Thimphu.It contains credit history which is essential document for facilitating an assessment of the creditworthiness and financial discipline by banks and lending institutions prior to approving your application for any type of loans.It facilitates better informed decisions on investments, promote a risk-based approach to providing financial services, enhance corporate governance, transparency, accountability and fair dealing and increase the efficiency of the financial sector in allocating resources to productive investments.Some prominent credit rating agencies include in the world includes: 1. Standard & Poor Rating : S&P Global Ratings is one of the largest credit rating agencies in the world, providing credit ratings for corporations, governments, and structured finance products.2.
