In our journey towards enhancing digital efficiency, we have crafted numerous dashboards and innovative solutions using Power BI. Yet, as our digital landscape expanded, we encountered a significant hurdle: managing and saving links for these dashboards. The task of tracking who has access to each dashboard became increasingly cumbersome. Compounding this issue, end users would often manually bookmark dashboard links, only to face problems when those links inevitably changed.Meanwhile, our dedicated digitalization team was hard at work creating a suite of powerful tools using Macro and .NET applications. Despite their efforts, many users remained unaware of these tools, continuing to labor through tasks manually.Faced with these challenges, we embarked on a mission to find a better way. Our quest led to the creation of an innovative portal, designed with two intuitive menus: one for dashboards and one for tools. In the dashboard menu, users can effortlessly search for and access dashboards directly from the portal. They can bookmark their favorite dashboards, with the portal automatically updating the links to prevent any disruptions.Understanding the importance of data security, we implemented stringent access controls, ensuring that only authorized users can view sensitive information. To bolster confidence in our data, we also display the last refresh date of each dashboard, guaranteeing users always see the most current information.The tools menu became a treasure trove of resources, offering detailed information for each tool, including the project name, link, description, discipline, last refresh date, comments, and actions.Every aspect of our dashboard management is now fully automated, with the portal refreshing daily to present the latest data.
