This refers to the changes in the body and the development of gross and fine motor skills.Cognitive development:This includes the development of intellectual powers like the power of reasoning, thinking, imagination, concentration, creativity, sensation, perception, memory, association, discrimination and generalisation.Emotional development:Under this dimension, right from the development of the basic instinct, the evolution of various emotions take place and also the emotional behaviour is developed to the point of emotional maturity.Social development:The term social development is concerned with how we relate with other people. It is about how we learn to identify with other people and become a member of a social group.Moral development:Moral development refers to our ability to learn the difference between right or wrong and understand how to make the right choices. Children’s experiences at home, the environment around them, and their physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills influence their developing sense of right versus wrong.Language development:Language development is a higher level cognitive skill involving audition and oral abilities in humans to communicate verbally individuals’ wants and needs. Language development or language acquisition is a process that starts early in human life, when a person begins to acquire language by learning it as it is spoken and by mimicry. Children's language development moves from simplicity to complexity.
